The Cebu People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative is now one of the hubs that serve as online marketing arm of products of DOST-assisted small entrepreneurs.
In a Memorandum of Agreement signing last September 8, 2017 by DOST VII Regional Director Edilberto Paradela and Cebu People’s Multi-Purpose Cooperative Executive Director Macario Quevedo, the parties agreed to market products sold online using oneSTore, the DOST-developed e-commerce platform.
Under the MOA, the cooperative is responsible as a oneStore hub not only for selling products made and/or produced by DOST-assisted firms, but also for “monitoring all transactions, sales and feedbacks and do monthly reports to DOST Regional Office.”
It also required “responding to orders within 24 hours upon placement” and “carrying out processes and delivery within the time span agreed upon by DOST and the oneSTore hub.”
To qualify as oneSTore hub, an entity needs to have, among others, an active bank account, round-the-clock internet access, and a warehousing facility with a minimum area of 20 square meters where products can be displayed.
