Hon. Peter MacArthur, Ambassador to the Philippines, of the Government of Canada expressed his appreciation and commended the laudable efforts of the members of the Regional Technical Working Group (RTWG) of the GWP2 in supporting the economic empowerment of the women micro – entrepreneurs in Region VII, during a Meeting on November 12, 2021 at Golden Prince Hotel, Cebu City. The RTWG VII is composed of DOST VII, PCW, DTI VII, and DA VII.
During the said gathering, Engr. Jesus F. Zamora, Jr. OIC – Regional Director of the DOST VII shared the GWP2 consolidated Project Outputs from 2018 to 2021 and the Sustainability Plan of the RTWG to the partner WMEs in the region.
The sharing of the success stories of the WMEs attested how the GWP2 project improved their technical expertise, increased their productivity, enhanced their digital marketing capacity, developed their self-esteem and sustained their enterprises amidst the covid 19 pandemic.
Moreover, the representatives from Global Affairs Canada and Ambassador Peter MacArthur viewed the array of WME’s variety of products in a Mini Tour of the Doris Fashion Accessories, tablea products of Armson Foods Corporation, living room stone and wall decors Adorno 72 Home Decors, and ukuleles and guitars of Ferangeli Guitar Handcrafter.
