The new employees of DOST 7 actively participated in the Gender Sensitivity Training, spearheaded by the DOST 7 on July 15, 2022 via zoom platform.

“To effectively serve our S & T clients, we, as public servant need to learn and appreciate Gender and Development, a people-centered development paradigm that recognizes gender equality as a fundamental value in the provision of our programs and services responsive to the gender needs of our clients,” OIC- RD Samuel A. Parcon said.

OIC-RD Parcon added, “we are not just nationally mandated to mainstream gender and development in our programs and services, but let us take gender responsive and gender sensitive programming, part of DOST 7 culture and norm and must also be imbedded/ rooted in our values as public servant.”

During the training, the new employees heightened their knowledge on Gender Sensitivity which recognizes gender biases impede development, for Gender Bias prevents the S & T
