Officials and workers of the Department of Science and Technology Regional Office VII (DOST VII) took a time off for the second phase of the quarterly cleanup activity in the vicinity of the National Government Center in Sudlon, Lahug, Cebu City last April 21, 2017.
The activity coincided with the observance of the April 2017 Earth Day.
It was also undertaken in implementation of R.A. 9003, otherwise known as the Ecological Solid Waste Management Act of 2000. The Institutionalized Cleanup started in September 2016.
DOST VII workers were assigned in several groups to clean various parts of the premises of the Government Center, covering the grounds of the DOST VII S&T Complex, the entire stretch of the Center’s access road, and a portion of the Sudlon Road.
