A series of major technology event aimed at promoting technology in metal, manufacturing, and engineering sectors, was held in Cebu City recently.
Held at the Waterfront Cebu City Hotel from June 29 to July 1, 2017, the event was dubbed as the “Manufacturing Technology World Series”.
Among the event highlights were manufacturing, plastics production and packaging technology exhibits, consultancy, skills competition, and food expo. Free seminars were also offered to members of manufacturing and metals sectors and to all interested individuals.
The event activities was undertaken in three of the country’s key cities, including Cebu City, by the Global-Link MP Events International in coordination with the Philippine Welding Society (PWS), Metals Industry Research and Development Center (MIRDC) and the Department of Science and Technology (DOST) 7.
The activities were part of their efforts to strengthen institutional support to micro, small, medium enterprises (MSMEs), especially those in the metal and engineering sectors and other allied sectors.
Through the event, stakeholders from the manufacturing companies, export processing zones, and manufacturing economic zones, were afforded the opportunity to get a glimpse of the latest metal, manufacturing, and engineering technology and to share relevant information with PWS, MIRDC and other private and government institutions for the advancement of their trade and enterprise.
